Storm sinks 2 trawlers in Bangladesh

At least four sailors have been missing after the trawler in which they were carrying goods sank in Bangladesh following a stormy weather. Disaster occurred in Meghana river, one of the three that forms the Ganges Delta.

Following Bangla News 24, two trawlers loaded with bricks left for Swandip in Chittagong from local Nalchira Ghat. Both trawlers sank after being hit by storm but luckily the crews of one trawler managed to swim asshore but all four crews of other went missing.

Police and locals are even conducting rescue operation in the midnight.

In another incident, lightning strikes in Fakirhat district of Bangladesh has claimed two lives and injured one.
