  • Flooding in southwestern France
    -Flooding in France has killed least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes. Government has declared state of natural catastrophe.

    -Agly River burst its bank and caused flooding in Perpignan, France. Flood displaced around 700 people. Click for detail report on flooding in France
  • Forest fire in Baldwin County of Alabama
    -
    Forest fire in Baldwin County of Alabama has burned 40 acres.
    -The fire is currently burning near the Wilcox Road area.
    Update 01:05 UTC
    -Following Alabama Forestry Officials, fire hasn't damaged any structure and is fully contained now.


Recent Earthquakes 
  • M 5.0 moderate earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan Region (@ 45 km depth) with epicenter located 58 km SE of Kushiro. People of  Misawa-shi,  Nemuro, Shibetsu and Obihiro will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 5.8 strong harmless earthquake in Kuril Islands (@ 41 km depth) with epicenter located 89 km E of Severo-Kuril'sk, Russia. People of Ozernovskiy and Severo-Kuril'sk (pop. around 3,000) will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 4.5 moderate shallow earthquake in Eastern Sichuan, China (@ 22 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km SE of Weizhou. People of Chengdu, Tianpeng and Deyang will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 3.4 light shallow earthquake Offshore Northern California (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 36 km S from Point Reyes. It will have well felt by the people of Fairfax, Forest Knolls, Inverness, Daly city, San Francisco City Hall, Novato and San Anselmo.

  • M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Northern Colombia (@ 77 km depth) with epicenter located 35 km SE of El Bagre. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Medellín, Zaragoza, Segovia and San Carlos.

  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Mindanao, Philippines (@ 74 km depth) with epicenter located just 2 km SSE of Pondaguitan. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Malita, Lupon and Mati.

    -Sandra is expected to become category 4 cyclone on Monday.

    -
    Avalanche in the Bidean Nam Bian peak in Glencoe, Scotland has killed one people.
    -Glencoe Mountain Rescue team immediately reached the disaster zone.
