  • Flooding in Lockyer Valley region, Australia
    -A flood emergency alert has been issued for the Lockyer Valley region in Brisbane, Australia.
    -An emergency flood warning has been issued for Banana Shire.

    More floods are expcted in Forest Hill, Laidley and Glenore Grove. Around 100mm of rain is forecast in Bundaberg in the next 24 hours.


Recent Earthquakes 
  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Western Iran (@ 48 km depth) with epicenter located 46 km WSW of Borujen. It will have well felt by the people of Farrokh Shahr, Farsan and Shahr-e Kord.

  • M 4.6 moderate deep earthquake in Guam region (@ 127 km depth) with epicenter located 14 km N of Yigo Village. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Dededo Village, Mangilao Village, Yigo, Tamuning, Santa Rita and Chalan Pago.

  • M 4.1 light shallow earthquake in Dominican Republic (@ 29 km depth) with epicenter located 15 km (9 miles) WNW of El Factor. People of San Francisco de Macorís, Nagua and Salsipuedesn will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.08:17 UTC (local time Saturday, March 02, 2013 at 04:17 AM @ epicenter)  
  • M 5.5 strong earthquake in India-Bangladesh border region (@ 37 km depth) with epicenter located 14 km NW Hailakandi. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Assam, Shillong, Aizawl, Silchar and Dhaka. Click for detail report on earthquake near Shillong, India.
