• December 30: Five killed in Colombian Landslide
   Five people are reported to be killed in a landslide in southern Colombia.

October 2012

• October 7:Colombia mudslide kills three, 10 missing
  Mudslide occurred in Villas del Prado village and Remolinos in the municipality of Isnos (southern Huila).

September 2012

• September 30: Magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Colombia-Powerful but luckily deep!
  Earthquake is very strong but luckily it is deep (@ 150 km). The earthquake struck in the Andes mountains of south-west Colombia.

June 2012

• June 21: Colombia/Nevado Del Ruiz Volcano
  Matecana Airport in the city of Pereira closed due to volcani ash clouds from Nevado Del Ruiz.
• June 8: Colombia/Nevado del Ruiz recent volcanic activity
  Twenty four families near Nevado del Ruizo volcano area evacuated.

May 2012

• May 29: Colombia/Nevado del Ruiz volcano recent volcanic activity
  Alert level raised from yellow to orange. The last eruption of the volcano in 1985 killed an estimated 25,000 people and destroyed the town of Armero.

April 2012

• April 24: Landslide in Colombia
  Four people reported to be killed in landslide in Malvinas and Florencia region of Colombia.
• April 9:Colombia/Nevado del Ruiz recent volcanic activity
  The Nevado del Ruiz volcano is at ORANGE activity level (Level II) which means eruption may occur within days or weeks.
