Tremor was even felt in Rishikesh and Haldwani in Uttaranchal, India.

Following Nepal Seismological Center earthquakes of magnitude 5.6 and 4.7 occured in southern part of Rukum at 10:15 PM and 10:27 PM respectively in 2069/5/7 . Magnitude 5.6 is the strongest quake to hit Nepal after 2011 September quake that hit Nepal-India border region. If the magnitude is correct, then major damage is confirmed around epicenter area. M 4.0 moderate earthquake recorded in Panchthar with epicenter close to Nepal-India border. The epicenter is close to Chyangthapu. Panchthar is the headquarters of Panchthar District in the Mechi Zone of northern Nepal. weak shaking will have felt in Chyangthapu, Uttarey and Gonpatang, Nepal.
People often send mail asking when will an earthquake stuck in Nepal? Since the earthquake event cannot be predicted, one cannot say exactly when! Nepalese are little aware about it after the very earthquake hit in Nepal/Sikkim border in 2011 BUT looking earthquake record and personnel experience, earthquake with M 4+ stuck at least once in a week in Nepal

M 4.0 moderate earthquake recorded in Siraha, Nepal today with epicenter close to Bishnupur Katti north of East West Highway (event recorded around 9:53 AM). The epicenter location was North West of Lahan. It will have well felt in Bishnupur katti Region with a population of 7532 people residing in 1370 individual households. This is the second moderate earthquake in Siraha, Nepal within a week. NO DAMAGE EXPECTED

The epicenter is just 4 km far from Lunak, Mechi, Nepal.This area seems to seismically active from recent days. It is the third moderate earthquake to hit Taplejung, Nepal this month. It is remote mountainous area. It will well felt in Lunak and Ghunsa region of Nepal. It will be faintly felt as far as Mangan, Sikkim India. This was the time of Monday morning when People of Taplejung were in their bed.
So far 11 earthquake tremors are recorded in Upper Taplejung within last two months period!! They are < M 5.0 (between 3-5)

M 4.9 moderate earthquake stuck Northern Taplejung today. It is second earthquake in Taplejung, Nepal this month. The epicenter is closer to Lelep, 6.8 kms SE of Lunak Taplejung, NepaL. It is remote mountainous area. The earthquake depth at 46km has somewhat decrease its shaking power but its enough to be well around Lelep area. As our earlier experience with Taplejung earthquake, We don't expect any damage from this quake.It will be lightly felt in border area too.This is around the same area where earlier extremely dangerous M 6.8 earthquake stuck this year.
Once again, we want to ask Nepal Seismological Center, why aren't they providing full data? I have personally written to Nepal seismological through email, they have somewhat managed the website BUT still the depth and felt intensities are not published!! Hope their website will be updated soon with all necessary data.
