- Bushfires in Tasmania, Australia
-Bushfires in southern Tasmania may have claimed lives. Following Tasmania police, 100 Australians are missing in Tasmania wildfires.
-Around 70 homes were destroyed in Dunalley, Tasmania.
-Almost 3,000 evacuated people from Hobart are currently living in emergency shelters.
-Yesterday, around 1000 people were rescued by boat from the bushfire-ravaged Tasman Peninsula.
-The 1967 Tasmanian bushfires killed 62 people and injured 900 others. It was the most deadly bushfires that Tasmania had ever experienced (Photo: Aerial photograph taken on January 5, 2013 shows the devastated Boomer Bay area after bush fires swept through Tasmania; AFP) .

- M 4.3light shallow earthquake in Greece (@ 12 km depth) with epicenter located just 1 km S of Aiani. People of Kozani, Grevena, Kozani and Ptolemais will have felt wak shaking of MMI III.
23:22 UTC (local time Monday, January 07, 2013 at 01:22 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.1 light shallow earthquake in Southern Iran (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 61 km SE of Kerman. Weak tremor will have felt as far as Bardsir, Bam and Zarand.
15:24 UTC (local time Sunday, January 06, 2013 at 06:54 PM @ epicenter) - M 5.4 moderate deep earthquake in Halmahera, Indonesia (@ 150 km depth) with epicenter located 34 km NNE of Ternate. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Kota Ternate, Tobelo and Bitung.
11:08 UTC (local time Sunday, January 06, 2013 at 08:08:32 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate earthquake Off the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 96 km E of Namie. People of Sendai, Fukushima, Tsuchiura, Ishinomaki, Watari and Yamoto will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

- Flooding in Netanya, Israel
-Flooding in Netanya, Israel closed down the Tel Aviv-Haifa railway line. Israel's Train Services halted trains from traveling between Haifa and Tel Aviv.
-Seven people were rescued from flood disaster at Herzliya railway station by local fireman.
-Storms damaged power lines and cut power in Ramat Gan area.
-Snow is forecast to fall on Mount Hermon, and more rain is expected to fall as far south as the Sharon.

-As of 12:00 UTC, TS Sonamu was located 255 nm southeast of Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
-Malaysian Meteorological Department (MMD) has forecast turbulent sea conditions and flooding in low-lying areas.
-The storm "Sonamu" is expected to affect Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang region of Peninsular Malaysia.

-Snow disaster killed two and affected 770,000 people in N China. - Natural disasters in China killed 1,338 people in 2012. A joint statement from the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the office of the National Committee for Disaster Reduction claims that over 200 county-level areas were each hit by more than 10 natural disasters in 2012 which affected 290 million people destroying 906,000 houses.
- Mysterious 'Earth Booms' & houses shaking are reported in Oklahoma, South Carolina & Alaska from past two days.
- A Tsunami hoax has spread over Terengganu and Kelantan region of Malaysia. Lots of Malaysians are asking us about the predicted Tsunami wave in Terengganu and Kelantan region of Malaysia on January 8, 2013.
DR: Please don't run behind such disaster rumors. Rumor may have spread as Terengganu and Kelantan region of Malaysia is currently battering with floods.
