  • Hailstorm in Andhra Pradesh, India
    -Hailstorm killed at least 9 people in Chevella, Moinabad and Shankarpally area of India.
    -Hailstorm also damaged several houses and crops across Andhra Pradesh.
    -
    An intense thunderstorm caused hailstorm in southern India. Rain and hailstorms are predicted to hit Delhi in the beginning of the first week of February.
    -The world's deadliest hailstorms and also the largest hailstones occurred on the Deccan Plateau of northern India and in Bangladesh.

  • Cyclone Felleng in Madagascar
    -
    Cyclone Felleng in Madagascar has killed five people. Out of five, four people died in a house collapse in Antananarivo and one person drowned in Maroantsetra.
    -Floods displaced more than 700 people in Antananarivo.
    -Cyclone Giovanna and tropical storm Irina killed hundreds of people in 2012.

  • M 4.5 moderate shallow earthquake in Kerkira Region, Greece (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 15 km NNE of Agios Georgis. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Kerkyra, Sarande and Gjirokaster (Albania).

  • M 6.2 very strong but harmless sea quake in Santa Cruz Islands (@ 9 km depth) with epicenter located 60 km E of Lata, Solomon Islands. Yesterday magnitude 6.0 hit the same area of Santa Cruz Islands.

  • M 3.7 light shallow earthquake in Washington (@ 8 km depth) with epicenter located 5 km ENE from Amboy. It will have well felt by the people of Yacolt, Lewisville, Vancouver, Beaverton, Gladstone, Gresham, Lake Oswego, Oregon City, Troutdale, West Linn, Happy Valley, Portland, Amboy, Ariel, Battle Ground, Brush Prairie, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, Woodland and Yacolt.

Recent Volcanic Activity
Erupting Volcanoes: Fuego, Santiago, Poas, Reventador, Nyiragongo, Ol Doniyo Lengai, Raung, Erta Ale, Paluweh, Gamalama, Batu Tara, Sakurajima, Manam, Ulawun, Tolbachik and Kilauea volcano.
  • Mount Lokon in Sulawesi erupted today spewing ash by up to 800 meters to the sky.


Recent Tropical Cyclones
  • Tropical Cyclone Felleng
    -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Felleng was located 300 nm west-northwest of La Reunion.
    -Cyclone Felleng in Madagascar has killed five people. Out of five, four people died in a house collapse in Antananarivo and one person drowned in Maroantsetra.
