Recent Natural Disasters
- Landslide in Pakistan
-Five killed in recent Pakistan landslide. A landslide killed three Pakistani soldiers and two others in mountainous Jammu and Kashmir (Kel region).
-Eight soldiers and 10 civilians are still missing in landslide disaster.
-Heavy snow caused avalanche in Azad Kashmir near the de facto border with India.
-Rescue operations are hampered by continued bad weather in Kashmir.
-In April, 140 Pakistani soldiers were killed in landslide in Siachen Glacier base, Kashmir.
-Avalanches and landslides are frequently natural disasters in the mountains of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.
Update
-Death toll from Pakistan landslide has risen to 12. Fatalities includes eight Pakistani soldiers.

- M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Romania (@ 91 km depth) with epicenter located just 1 km WNW of Reghiu. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Focsani, Marasheshty and Adjud. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Bacău, Brăila, București, Bălţi, Ceatalchioi, Iaşi, Olteniţa, Piteşti, Ploieşti, Puchenii Mari and Bucharest.

Tremor was well felt in Bucharest and even in Bulgaria. - M 5.6 moderate earthquake in Alaska Peninsula (@ 88 km depth) with epicenter located 110 km N of Larsen Bay. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Anchorage and Knik-Fairview.

- Flooding in Greece
-Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Greek region.
-Three tornadoes hit the island of Zakynthos (Ionian Sea), Greece. Tornado caused damage in the region of Katakolon and Ancient Olympia.
-Floods in Xanthi, Northern Greece disrupted the train services too.
-People of Athens were also affected by recent flooding.

-As of 12:00 UTC, Typhoon Bopha was located 350 nm east-southeast of Palau.
-Bopha (local name Pablo) is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Monday morning.
-Bopha is predicted to make landfall in Eastern Visayas or Northeastern Mindanao.

- Heavy rainfall collapsed a wall at the Pompeii archeological site in Campani, Italy.
