Recent Natural Disasters
- Flooding in Nakaseke, Uganda
-Floods caused havoc across Uganda. Worst affected is Kaasangombe sub-county where the floods have cut off Nakaseeta Police Post. Flood also damaged Luweero-Nakaseeta-Nakaseke and Wobulenzi-Nakaseke road.
-Heavy rainfall from several days caused outburst of small rivers such as Lugogo, washing away roads. Roads in Magoro, Ngariam, Palam, Omodoi, parts of Usuk and Ongongoja are most affected.
-Kibaale residents living in the low-lying areas are urged to evacuate following the flood.
-At least 1,600 families in Katakwi district lack enough food and are having miserable condition.
-Crop fields which are owned by HNHE FARM (Chinese agricultural company at Nakaseeta village) are also flooded (Photo: Flooded road in Kaasangombe sub-county, Luwero district; Newvision).

- M 6.1 strong earthquake in Coquimbo, Chile (@ 62 km depth) with epicenter located 82 km N of La Serena. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Vallenar, Coquimbo, La Serena, Vicuna, Ovalle and Monte Patria. People of Copiapo, Illapel, Santiago, Salamanca and San Juan will have felt weak shaking of MMI II-III.
19:02 UTC (local tim eWednesday, November 14, 2012 at 04:02 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate shallow earthquake off Tolaga Bay, New Zealand (@ 12 km depth) with epicenter located 50 km east of Tolaga Bay. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Kaiti, Patutahi and Tolaga Bay.
16:21 UTC (local time Thursday, November 15 2012 at 5:21 am @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate earthquake in Eastern Mediterranean Sea (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 63 km S of Demre. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Beykonak, Tekirova and Kas.
07:24 UTC (local time Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 09:24 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.6 strong earthquake in Negros, Philippines (@ 46 km depth) with epicenter located just 4 km NNW of Linaon. Moderate shaking of MMI V will have felt by the people of Binalbagan, Hinobaan, and Hinigaran in Negros Occidental. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Sigma in Capiz province and Alimodian in Iloilo province. People of San Jose, Mandaue City, Magdiwang, Maasin, Lapu-Lapu, Ivisan, Dumaguete, Corcuera, Cadiz, Bacolod and Cebu city will have felt weak shaking of MMI II-III.

Earthquake was widely felt across Central Visayas, Western Visayas, Negros Occidental, Cebu and Iloilo region. - M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Chiapas, Mexico (@ 38 km depth) with epicenter located just 4 km N of Ostuacan. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Pichucalco, Teapa, Huimanguillo and Fracc La Hacienda.
00:43 UTC (local time Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 06:43 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.2 light shallow earthquake in Central Turkey (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 25 km NW of Sehitkamil. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Gaziantep, Pazarcik and Nurdagi.
00:02 UTC (local time Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 02:02 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate earthquake in Atacama, Chile (@ 91 km depth) with epicenter located 123 km E of Copiapo. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Diego de Almagro, Tinogasta, Belen and Copiapo.

-Wildfire burned 8 acres above reservoir east of LA.
-One firefighter got a minor injury and was sent to a hospital.
-Some 150 firefighters are struggling to control the blaze.
