- Typhoon Jelawat in Japan
-Typhoon Jelawat made landfall over eastern Aichi Prefecture of Japan at 7 p.m on Sunday night.
-Japanese Authorities have ordered 56,000 people in Nagoya and 2,000 in Mie to evacuate as rivers flooded their banks. Authorities forecast waves of up to 10 meters for the Tokai region.
-Typhoon Jelawat has injured at least 140 people in eight prefectures of Japan and caused extensive blackouts (Photo: newsonjapan.com).

-Japan Typhoon Jelawat killed one and injured 140 people in eight prefectures.
-More than 500 flights, mainly in western Japan cancelled. Shinkansen bullet train services across the country also suspended.

16:31 UTC (local time Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 11:31 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.3 light earthquake in Panama-Colombia Border Region (@ 49 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km E of Acandi. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Necocli, Turbo and San Juan de Uraba.

- M 4.3 light earthquake in Tajikistan (@ 48 km depth) with epicenter located 10 km SW of Vanj. Just a weak shaking will have felt by the people of Khorugh, Gharm and Muminobod.

epicenter located just 1 km E from Irving. It will have well felt by the

-Typhoon Jelawat in Okinawa injured more than 50 people and caused extensive blackouts.
-Typhoon Jelawat is expected to make landfall later today (Sunday) in the Tokai region in central Japan. - Hurricane Nadine
-As of 09:00 UTC, Hurricane Nadine was located 965 km W of the Azores.
-Nadine is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale and is moving toward the north-northwest near 12 mph. No threat to land.

-Tornado damaged a store in Calhoun, Lavaca county.
-However no injury reported.
