- M 6.4 very strong but harmless sea quake in Andrean of Islands, Aleutian Is., Alaska (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 34 km S of Tanaga Volcano. No Tsunami expected.
23:39 UTC (local time Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 02:39 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Tanzania (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 35 km NNW of Msanga. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Dodoma, Kongwa and Mpwapwa.
13:14 UTC (local time Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 04:14 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate aftershocks in Gulf of California (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 52 km N of La Paz. Classes were suspended and thousands of tourists were evacuated after magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit La Paz, Mexico yesterday.

-Marapi volcano spewed ashes up to 1.5 kilometres into the sky.
-It is the strongest since August last year. However no evacuation order issued because the nearest villages are far beyond the danger zone of three kilometres from the crater.

Storm Signal no. 2 issued in Cagayan, including the Babuyan and Calayan group of islands, and the Batanes group of Islands. - Hurricane Miriam
-As of 03:00 UTC, Miriam was located 695 km SW of the southern tip of Baja California.
-Miriam is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale. - Tropical Storm Ewiniar
-As of 03:00 UTC, TS Ewiniar was located 40 nm north of iwo-to, Japan. - Tropical Storm Nadine
-As of 03:00 UTC, Nadine was located 820 km SSW of the Azores.
- Nadine is moving toward the south-southwest near 5 mph. No threat to land.
