- Typhoon Jelawat in Philippines
-Two killed and two others reported to be missing due to Typhoon "Jelawat" (local name: Lawin).
-Two fatalities are from Bogo City, Cebu and Labuan, Zamboanga City. Two others missing are from Barangay San Vicente, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.
-Flooding displaced some 4,000 famailies in Zamboanga del Norte town.
-At least 800 families are now staying in churches and gymnasiums.

-Around 2,000 people evacuated after wildfire in Valencia in east Spain. Evacuated people are from Chulilla, Gestalgar, Pedralba and Bugarra area.
-Around 600 are struggling to control the fire with 31 planes and helicopters. But fire-fighting are having more difficult by strong gusts of wind in the region.

Just a weak shaking of MMI II will have felt by the people of Heber, Mexicali, San Luis Rio Colorado, Yuma, El Centro, Calexico, Fortuna Foothills, Brawley, San Luis, Guadalupe Victoria and Imperial.
22:55 UTC (local time Monday, September 24, 2012 at 03:55 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate shallow earthquake in Taiwan (@ 24 km depth) with epicenter located 40 km NNE of Taitung City. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Yujing, Lugu and Jiayi Shi.
21:57 UTC (local time Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 05:57 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.2 light shallow earthquake in Portugal (@ 11 km depth) with epicenter located 22 km E Odemira. It will have well felt by the people of Silves and Setúbal.
21:52 UTC (local time 22:52; 2012/09/24 @ epicenter) - M 4.1 light shallow earthquake in Aegean Sea (@ 10 km depth) with epiceter located 11 km SE Trikérion. It will have well felt by the people of Vólos and Lárisa.

Nothing major but I could feel it as I was laying on the bed. - M 5.1 moderate earthquake in Mindanao, Philippines (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 90 km SSE of Pondaguitan. It will have felt as far as Caburan, Malita and Mati.

-Miriam becomes a major hurricane and is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph. - Tropical Storm Nadine
-As of 15:00 UTC, TS Nadine was located 705 km S of the Azores. Nadine is moving west-northwestward. No threat to land. - Tropical Storm Ewiniar
-As of 15:00 UTC, TS Ewiniar was located 300 nm south-southwest of iwo-to, Japan.

-At least 120 houses damaged by tornado in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
-However no injury reported.
