At least thirteen people killed by flash flood near Machiara village, a town 40 kilometer away from Muzaffarabad, of Azad Kashmir today.

Heavy rainfall from Tuesday night caused flooding in Kashmir region
Several roads were blocked across Azad Kashmir due to land sliding.

Pakistan Metrological Department has forecast more rain in upper areas of Azad Kashmir during next 24 hours.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir or Azad Kashmir is the southernmost political entity within the Pakistani-administered part of the former princely state of Kashmir and Jammu. Azad Jammu & Kashmir is very rich in natural beauty. Most important is Ladakh,  the highest plateau of Kashmir.

During the summer season, monsoon floods of the rivers Jhelum and Leepa of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are common due to extreme rains and snow melting.
