-TS Ernesto made landfall close to the port city of Coatzacoalcos. About 2,500 people were evacuated from Chetumal up the coast to Tulum.
-Following U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami, Ernesto was heading west over southern Mexico at a speed of about 14 mph.

Recent natural disasters in Mexico - Heavy storms in Sydney, Australia
-Heavy storms as high as 106 km/hr recorded on Sydney Harbour, the strongest gusts in at least six years.
-Storms damaged roofs of houses and delayed several planes at Sydney airport.
-All Sydney ferry services between Manly and Circular Quay was suspended because of large swells.
-Buses from the McMahons Point ferry stop are still not running due to a fallen tree.

18:37 UTC (local time Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:37 AM @ epicenter) - M 3.5 weak shallow earthquake in Central California (@ 14 km depth) with epicenter located just 4 km S from Bishop. It will have well felt by the people of West Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Selma, Reedley, Sanger, Dinuba, Parlier, Kingsburg, Orange Cove and Orosi.
08:05 UTC (local time Friday, August 10, 2012 at 01:05 AM @ epicenter) - M 3.0 weak shallow earthquake in Bosnia and Herzegovina (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 3 km E Zenica. It will have well felt by the people of Kakanj and Zenica.
03:31 UTC (local time 05:31; 2012/08/10 @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate shallow sea quake in Mozambique channel (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 318 km W of Morondava. It will have faintly felt in coastal area.

- Flash floods in Manila, Philippines
-Death toll from Manila flood has risen to 60 while damage to crops in one region alone reached at least P1 billion. Of the 60 fatalities, 11 died in landslides, 39 drowned, four were electrocuted, 2 died of cardiac arrest while 4 persons remained unidentified.
-Heavy rainfall and flooding affected 2,442,135 persons in 31 cities and 16 provinces from Ilocos in the north down to Western Visayas in the central Philippines.
-National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said 7 persons were still missing as of Friday morning.

-Storms killed three people and destroyed about 100 houses. Ernesto is moving toward the west near 14 mph.
-Ernesto is expected to dissipate on Friday as the cyclone continues to move inland over the high terrain of southern Mexico. - Tropical Storm Gilma-As of 01:00 UTC, TS Gilma was located 1115 km WSW of the southern tip of Baja California.
-Gilma is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph.
-There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. - Tropical wave Invest 93L
-Invest 93L is located off the W coast of Africa. It has a 30% chance of cyclonic development next 48 hours.
