Update
The death toll has risen to six. At least 43 others were injured, including eight in critical condition.
-At least 30 houses have been seriously damaged and 100 slightly damaged.
Update
-At least three people have been injured by falling debris and rescuers are having difficulty evacuating them to Palu.
-At least 23 houses have been damaged in Parigi Mountong district.
-According to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, Parigi Moutong and Sigi districts are the hardest-hit.

Following USGS PAGER MAP, Moderate shaking of MMI V will have felt by the people of Palu and Poso. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Rantepao and Mamuju. People of Polewali, Majene, Bontang, Samarinda, Unaaha, Gorontalo and Kendari.
M 6.3 very strong earthquake shakes Sulawesi, Indonesia this Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 56 km SSE of Palu . It was 12.4 miles deep.
USGS initially reported the quake’s magnitude at 6.6, while Indonesia’s geophysics agency measured it at 6.2.
There have been 9 M7.5+ earthquakes recorded from the Kai Islands to Sumba since 1900.
Indonesia sits on the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where continental plates collide, causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
