-Death toll from Uttarkashi flash floods has risen to 31. More than 50 people are still reported to be missing.
-The floods caused heavy landslides in the state. A stretch of Gangotri national highway washed away by floods.
-Three rescuers of the fire brigade department also died at Gangori area of Uttarkashi district.
-Chardham yatra has also been suspended. About 200 families were evacuated from low lying regions of Uttarkashi to higher ground.
-Flash floods alert issued for Jammu region too. The water level in Chenab, Tawi, Ujh and Basantar rivers are nearing the danger mark in Jammu and Kashmir.
