-Tornado hit Satinitilla Chowmuhani village along western border of Tripura. Around 50 houses reported to be damaged.
-This cyclonic storm destroyed four villages of north Kalamcherra Gram Panchayat under Sonamura subdivision.
-Bazartilla, jumertilla, Chatiayanitilla and Baramura villages to be worse hit.
-A large number of trees, electric and telephone poles were uprooted in the area.
-Minister of sports and youth affairs Sahid Chaudhury visited the cyclonic affected areas. A relief package was also distributed (Rs 2000- severely affected, Rs 1000 and Rs 500- partially affected people)
-Heavy rainfall is forecast to occur at one or two places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next 48 hours.
-Tripura is a state in North East India surrounded by Bangladesh on the north, south, and west.
