-At least six people reported to be killed in flooding in southern and central Taiwan.
-About 7,000 people evacuated after heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides.
-Still 54 major highways reported to be blocked by water or landslides.
-The Taiwanese military has been sent in to help evacuate people trapped by flood waters in remote mountainous areas
Flooding in Taiwan
-More than 3,000 people were evacuated inundated areas of Taiwan after heavy rains.
-The rains caused flash floods, landslides. At least five people reported to be killed in mudslides.
-Sigurd Microelectronics' plant in Hukou (Hsinchu County, Taiwan) was suspended.
-Sigurd also runs two other plants in Chutung (Hsinchu County, Taiwan) which is safe till now and operating smoothly.
-Following local weather bureau, the torrential rains may last until Wednesday.
