2012/06/12 Northern Italy Aftershocks: Well Felt In Parma, Bologna And Verona

Disaster Report: M 4.4 shallow aftershocks shakes Northern Italy today. The quake's epicenter was 53 km ENE from Parma.

M 4.4 light earthquake shakes Northern Italy again, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 53 km NNW from Bologna. It was 3.0 miles deep.

Strong jolt will have felt by the people of Concordia sulla Secchia, Novi di Modena, Mirandola and Carpi as they lies within 15 km radius.

Local authorities were checking buildings in the quake-hit areas, and have warned of more shocks in the following weeks.

This May two major earthquakes occurred in Northern Italy, causing 26 deaths and widespread damage. These earthquakes caused $6.25 billion in total economic losses.
