Light shaking will have felt in Progreso, Heber, Seeley and El Centro and weak shaking will have felt by the people of Calexico, Imperial, San Diego and Mexicali.

M 4.0 light earthquake shakes Southern California this Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According ot the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located 14 km (9 miles) S from Seeley and 19 km (12 miles) WSW from Heber. It was 5.9 miles deep.

El Centro is a city in and county seat of Imperial County, the largest city in the Imperial Valley and the east anchor of the Southern California Border Region.
San Diego is the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest city in California.
Mexicali is the capital of the State of Baja California, seat of the Municipality of Mexicali, and 2nd largest city in Baja California

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Scott glovee from Seely,Ca.: Well im from Ark. And we dont get evry many earthquakes there,and it was the first one i ever felt.it was kinda wired but cool in its on way. Iv been coming to Ca. For about 20you yrs. And never felt one till yesterday.well thats all i have to say about that.im waiting on the next one,and i hope its bigger.
