Parveen Chalia from Bhahdurgarh Haryana (epicenter area) writes Disaster Report through  Felt Report Form as, "It was very scary. It made a sound dhak..dhak..dhak. I first thought maybe something fell on the floor in my room. House was shaking..Feel like everything is trembling till now!"

-The epicenter of the quake was Bahadurgarh near Delhi-Haryana border
-Office buildings in Gurgaon in Haryana was evacuated immediately
-According to the Seismic Zone Mapping done by the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Delhi is among 30 cities in the country falling in zone IV, which is defined as a severe intensity seismic zone.

from New Friend's Colony, Okhla Station, shares his experience to Disaster Report  (using Felt Report Form) as, "While I was busy having my lunch on my chair, it started giving me jerk.The intensity of jerk was not that severe, but I could immediately make up that it was a tremor. I also had similar view of my college who too was having his lunch.We could gauge the intensity as more than 4 on Richer scale. I think there would not be any damage to property and life"

  1. NDTV writes, Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and its surrounding areas at 1.10 pm today. In South Delhi's Greater Kailash Part One, where the NDTV studio is located, the building could be felt shaking. Viewers in Gurgaon also said that they could feel the tremors. However, there were no reports of any casualty or damage. No aftershocks were reported.

    Initial reports placed the earthquake's magnitude between 4.9 and 5.2 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was reportedly Bahadurgarh in Haryana. In Delhi, some cellphone networks went down for a bit.
