-Now death toll by this Chilean earthquake is two.
One died due to falling of wall and next due to cardiorespiratory (heart) attack
-More than 100 aftershocks are recorded since the main shock in Chile.

-One died due to cardiorespiratory attack in the town of Parral.
-8 injured in Maule region, 1 injured in Bio Bio region (admitted in de la Higuera Hospital).

Another M 4.9 moderate sea quake recorded Off the Coast of Aisen, Chile with epicenter located 431 km WSW of Castro.

-One, 74 years old man reported to be killed by heart attack
-At least 6 people injured
-People who were evacuated earlier as a precaution have started returning to their home. Some still are in dilemma whether to return or not. They seem to be afraid of aftershocks. Rumor of strong earthquake to hit the area again frightens the panicked people a lot in this case (usually after major quake)

Precautionary evacuation was conducted from Concón in the Region of Valparaiso, to Lebu in the Region of Santiago, which was canceled after SHOA information
M 7.1 very strong shallow earthquake jolts Maule, Chile (@ 35 km depth) today with epicenter located just 27 km NNW of Talca.
About 9,000 people will have felt very strong shaking of MMI VII. People in San Javier, Talca, Molina, San Clemente, Longavi and Teno will have felt strong shaking of MMI VI.
Moderate shaking will have felt by the people of Rancagua.
Light shaking will have experienced by the people of Santiago, Concepcion, and Valparaiso.
The earthquake happened in Chile, Region of Bio-Bio (population 1,789,433). The maximum altitude nearby is 3110m.
Light damage can be expected within 88 km radius from epicenter.
Evacuation order was issued immediately after the quake to those of the central coast of Chile.
Following The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, "a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected.
Preliminary reports are coming of one person injured in a car accident in the Bio Bio region and some houses damaged in Talca.
Earthquake tremor was felt for a minute in Talca where hundreds of people ran into the streets.
Earlier USGS mentioned earthquake with magnitude 7.2 which was later updated to M 7.1
