Train delayed 1-2 hours.

USGS has updated data as M 5.9 @ 22.4 km depth. Max. felt intensity V in Taitung City, which means moderate. Looking this new updated intensity table, earlier assumption fails. However, light to minor damage is confirmed around epicenter area.
The populated area Kao-hsiung and Tainan City are among the one to experience light shaking. Aside is Taiwan earthquake video, showing minor damages

High-speed rail service temporarily suspended out of the southern city of Kaohsiung, north of Pingtung

Kaohsiung: lasted for about 15-20 seconds..it was strong, I was way to my office...I called to my home, seems network is currently busy
Kaohsiung: boom...very strong..though we experience here but this was strongest

Taiwan is frequently hit by earthquakes as the island lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire But this magnitude is strongest in last 8+ years

Two 4.0 magnitude aftershock recorded. The Hong Kong Observatory measured the quake at magnitude 6.0. The US Geological Survey estimated the quake at 5.9

M 5.9 very shallow strong dangerous earthquake in Taiwan (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 34 km WSW of Taitung. About 214,000 people will have felt very strong shaking of MMI VII. Heavy Damage to life and property is fixed

Kaohsiung is a city located in southwestern Taiwan, facing the Taiwan Strait on the west. Kaohsiung, officially named Kaohsiung City, is divided into thirty-eight districts.
Kaohsiung is the second largest city in Taiwan, with a population around 2.9 million
